Story from 'Creation' magazine No. 26 No 1 2004, 'Beyond the limits of human technology' by Jonathan Sarfati B.Sc.(Hons), Ph.D., F.M.
'Dr. Andre Geim, of the University of Manchester, leading a team of scientists from the UK and Russia, prepared a self-cleaning adhesive tape modelled on the gecko's foot. Their tape, with a contact area of only 0.5 cm with a contact area of only 0.5 cm with glass, could bear a load of more than 100 grams. However, the tape is not durable enough to attach and detach more than a few times, unlike the real gecko. The researchers proposed using a more durable material - that which the real ones are made of, keratin.
If they did, then gloves and shoes made of this might enable a real spiderman (or should that be geckoman?) to climb up walls of almost any surface.
'Geckos can stick to almost any surface, so it can even run upside down on a ceiling of polished glass. This is due to the way tiny chemical forces are exploited by tiny hairs called setae, about 1 10th of a millimetre long and packed 5,000 per square millimetre. The end of each seta has about 400-1000 branches ending in a spatula-like structure....This is an amazingly fine structure that the researchers said was 'beyond the limits of human technology'.'
Glyconutrients are also amazing plant-sourced supplements produced by Mannatech and founder Sam Caster. These glyconutrients are essential for optimal health and wellness overcoming the insecticides, pollutants and green harvest etc. Glyconutrients are mostly missing from our diets.

Arthrodpd Fossilized in a Flash!
Taken from 'Creation' magazine Vol. 27 No. 2 2005 by D. Catchpoole, B.Ag.Sc.(Hons.) Ph.D.
Have you ever seen an arthropod (e.g. lobster, scorpion, cockroach) shedding its 'skin'?
You've got to be in the right place at exactly the right time - it's all over in minutes. So you can imagine paleontologists' excitement on finding this fossil of the arthropod Marrella splendens, fossilized at the exact moment of moulting! (Garcia-Bellido, D.C. and Collins, D.H., Moulting arthropod caught in the act, Nature 429(6987):40, 2004)
'It's basically an astounding specimen', said paleontologist Derek Briggs of Yale University.
'The likelihood of capturing such an event is so astronomically small', said Desmond Collins, a senior scientist at the Royal Ontario Museum in Canada, .... 'The discovery of an arthropod in the act of moulting was exciting because it was so unexpected.'
Until now, only moulted skins had been found in the fossil record .........
Another reason this find is important, said Dr. Collins, is that it confirms what paleontologists had suspected; namely, that early arthropods moulted during growth, just as they do today.'
Luckily we don't have to shed our skins so quickly. Glyconutrients produced by Mannatech and founder Sam Caster, uses plant extracts to enhance cell-to-cell communication and overall physical health. Glyconutrients are necessary in every cell in your body but are mostly missing in the modern diet.

Entombed in Amber!
Very interesting to find an fossilised ant in all it's glory complete in amber. Taken from 'Fossil ant found Alive' by David Catchpoole B.Ag.Sc.(Hons.). Ph.D. in 'Creation' magazine Vol 28 No. 4 2006.
How long has this beautiful fossil Gracilidris ant been entombed in amber?
'Conventional dating puts the geological age of such Dominican amber fossils (i.e. amber found in the Dominican Republic. on the island of Hispaniola in the Caribbean) as being from the upper Oligocene or lower Miocene. That is, around 15-20 million years old. And with this fossil being the youngest (in fact, the only) specimen of this ant ever identified, the genus Gracilidris has thus been presumed to have been, for many millions of years. extinct.
But surprise, surprise! A myrmecologist (a researcher studying ants) who was familiar with the ancient amber fossil happened to recognize its distinctive features in a live worker ant he observed in South America. (Wild.A.L.,and Cuezzo. F., Rediscovery of a fossil dolichoderine ant lineage and a description of a new genus from South America. Zootaxa 1142:57-68.2006)
Evolutionists' surprise at finding such 'living fossils' is understandable, given the 'millions-of-years' they assume elapsed since the specimens were fossilized.'
During the early 20th century, carbohydrates were thought to be compounds used to provide energy only. In the first years of the 21st century, we now know that necessary carbohydrates in the form of glyconutrients are vital for correct structure, function, relationships of cells and all other biological systems. Modern diets are deficient in glyconutrients. We need 8 but typically get 2. Mannatech Inc. with Sam Caster the founder, are the world leaders in producing glyconutrients helping to give a healthy lifestyle.

Amazing Bionic Ear
Exceptional news from "Now" - AOG in Australia News Magazine
'The Cochlear bionic ear implant is a device designed to help the hearing impaired and the profoundly deaf who are unable to benefit from traditional hearing aids.
- It has restored about 98% of hearing to people who had previously been totally deaf.
- The device is used by over 10,000 people world wide.
- It consists of two parts: a head set consisting of a 22-channel stimulator in a titanium capsule with platinum electrodes which is implanted inside the skull behind the ear, close to residual nerve fibres; and a pocket speech processor.
Professor Graeme Clark is Director of the Bionic Ear Institute and attends Doncaster City Church, an Assemblies of God(AOG) church, in Melbourne, Australia.
Professor Clark is the inventor of the cochlear implant or Bionic Ear. He recognises God's influence in his work. He says the Holy Spirit and principles he learned in the Bible helped him in the development of the Bionic Ear........
In January 2004, he was honoured in the Australia Day Honours List for his service to medicine and to science. His invention of the Bionic Ear has benefited people with hearing disabilities around the world. ....... He serves the Christian Medical and Dental Fellowship in Australia. .....
He also regualarly teaches Religious Education in a local school.'
Professor Clark can add to more letters 'AC' to his already long list of titles and qualifications: FAA FTSE, MB, BS, MS, PhD (Sydney) FRCS (Edinburgh & London), FRACS, Hon.MD (Hannover), Hon.MD (Sydney), Hon.DSc (Wollongong), Hon.DEng (Chung Yuan).'
Mannatech Inc with Sam Caster have also given exceptional glyconutrients to the world, especially in Mannarelief, in helping many children in the third world. Glyconutrients are generally missing from our diet but are essential for optimal health and wellness.

The Kouprey (Ox) of Cambodia
Taken from 'Creation' magazine Vol. 29 No. 1 2006 Just an Ox- Northwestern University News and Information, 09/2006
'The kouprey - an ox with dramatic, curving horns - was discovered in Cambodia in 1937. It was recognized as a new species, and hailed as one of the 20th century's most famous discoveries. The kouprey (which means 'forest ox' in the Khmer language) is now the national animal of Cambodia, and fears for its extinction saw it become an 'icon' of Southeast Asian conservation.
Now the authors of a genetic study published in the Journal of Zoology 'present compelling genetic evidence that the kouprey may never have existed as a wild, natural species.' They compared kouprey DNA with DNA from a Cambodian wild ox, the banteng. The results show the kouprey may have originated as a domestic hybrid, between banteng and zebu cattle, that later became wild.
"The kouprey has acquired a rather romantic, exotic reputation," said Gary Galbreath, one of the study's authors. "Some people would understandably be sad to see it dethroned as a species."
This finding fits with the biblical creationist view that the various breeds of cattle around the world, including the American bison and the Tibetan yak, notwithstanding the different species names biologists assign to them, are all descendants of the same original created 'kind' (Genesis 1:24-25). DNA studies will reveal species belonging to other created kinds.'
Glyconutrients are generally missing from the human diet although Mannatech's cutting-edge scientists suggest that by adding glyconutrients to the human diet there is an increase in production in one's bone marrow stem cell production. Mannatech Inc., with founder Sam Caster have produced PhytoMatrix a plant-sourced glyconutrient supplement.

Magic Spells go Up In Smoke
Story retold in 'Chronicle of the Bible' by Derek Williams - This story was from Ephesus, c. AD 55-56 -
'Magicians here have watched their spells disappear in a pall of blue smoke in the certain knowledge that they will not be able to conjure them back again. The wizards claim that they have discovered a superior wisdom and even greater power which requires no trickery or incantations. But in order to avail themselves of it they first had to build a bonfire of books to destroy their old spells. According to local estimates, they sent material worth about 50,000 drachmas up in flames - enough to pay about 700 workers for a year.
In a city famous for treating people to tricks, the Christian preacher, Paul of Tarsus, has been doing wonders no one can explain by traditional means. A tent-maker by trade, even his aprons and cleaning cloths are said to have healing powers. He heals, exorcises demons and preaches in the name of Jesus Christ. He claims that the name of Christ, who was crucified over two decades ago but is said to have been raised from the dead, can heal people and bring them eternal forgiveness of their sins.
In one extraordinary scene, some Jewish exorcists of the Sceva family attempted to exorcise a demon in the name of Christ. The man they were trying to cure overpowered them and stripped them naked, claiming that he knew Paul and Jesus but not them. Local magicians realised that the power and name of Christ was to be respected as more than a mantra.'

Evolution Myth Extinct!
Excerpt from 'Creation' magazine -Vol. 29 No. 1, 'Surgeon with a Mission: to make the evolution myth extinct' by Vij Sodera.
Whilst studying God's amazing natural world and being fascinated by biology from a young age, Dr. Sodera found the evolutionary teaching in school and again during his human anatomy studies at medical school, made "little scientific sense to him".
'An organism, when you look at it under the microscope, is so horrendously complicated', says Dr. Sodera. 'If you look at bird anatomy in detail, you find that there are data which show categorically that dinosaurs could not have evolved into birds. Recently, a fossilized bipedal dinosaur (Scipionyx) was re-analyzed under different frequencies of ultraviolet light so that various internal organs stood out - the colon, the liver, the trachea and the rectum. Since a bird has air sacs in its abdomen and its pectoral area, the organs in those areas are pushed forwards rather than sitting against the spine. However, the form of Scipionyx was typically reptilian - it had no air sacs and its internal organs were positioned adjacent to the spine. A careful look at the unique bird lung shows that a step-wise change from reptilian to bird lung is impossible. And the idea that via modifications of a few frayed scales, a dinosaur could take to the air is total nonsense. That fits in with Genesis (of the Bible) where God made animals of different and separate kinds. Dinosaurs, whether they were small and bipedal or like the huge Brachiosaurus, were totally different animals from birds and other reptiles.'
'Human opinions are meaningless unless there is some absolute upon which to gauge the truth of the matter,' says Dr. Sodera.
Mannatechtm is world leader in glyconutrients, validated scientifically by cutting edge research and development. As a pioneer and world leader in the field of Glyconutrients, Mannatech occupies a unique niche in the dynamic field of carbohydrate technology. Glyconutrients benefit humans giving optimal health and well-being although these glyconutrient are now missing from our diet.
